How we got started
Randy owned an e-commerce business back in the '90's, and originally
hired others to create the web site. These companies made big
promises, but did not deliver. After much frustration with these
companies, Randy decided to learn how to do the web site himself
(along with the help of a couple of friends - Andrew Kent and
Anna Fassell). It ended up being a much bigger project than originally
imagined, but the end product was a beautiful 250 page web site
with a full shopping cart data base and many exciting graphical
innovations that are still considered cutting edge in 2010.
After all the trouble experienced finding a reliable and knowledgeable
web designer, Randy quickly realized there is a large demand for
this service, and it was something he enjoyed doing. Word Business

President - Randy Word
Randy comes from an accounting background. After passing the State
of Oregon Accounting Examination in 1995, Randy took charge of
the accounting functions for the computer department (Edu-tech
Center) at Oregon Health Sciences University. Randy also taught
computer classes at OHSU, during this time. Later, Randy worked
as a Controller for a business forms company, before starting
his own business and working as Corporate Controller for a company
in Tualatin. Randy's strength is Business Analysis, and Web Site
Design. Randy's hobbies include Bicycle Road Racing, and he has
won several Oregon State Championship medals.
Technical Services Manager - Andrew Kent
Andrew is our technical wizard. Andrew set-up and runs our hosting
service, our back-up system, and our network. Andrew completed his degree in Advanced Computer Science and Music!
Andrew has enjoyed working with computers since a very early age.
Andrew is also an accomplished singer and has performed for many
events in Oregon & Washington.
